What causes most diets to fail? It's a really good question that has
varying answers. However, the simple answer is, they are not the hunter gatherer diet. Another couple of answers
that come to mind immediately are simple hunger and lack of results. Face
it. If you don't get immediate results, your tendency is going to be
stopping your efforts and trying something else. And if you are hungry,
what are you most likely to do? You're not going to continue working on
your diet. That's for sure. You're going to eat. It's as plain and simple
as that. So, what can you do to remedy this problem? You need to try
something completely different, something like the hunter gatherer diet.
There are various forms of the hunter gatherer
diet, and the least relaxed form of it will ask that you not eat
dairy, beans, potatoes, or grains. These restrictions are there mostly
because these foods did not exist in an easy to get format when we were
wandering the valleys thousands of years ago. We did not yet grow food,
figure out how to rise dough and make bread, or even how to cook. So, what
are you supposed to eat on this hunter gatherer diet? The choices are fresh fruit,
vegetables, meat, seafood, seeds, nuts, and eggs. Remember our hunter and
gatherer ancestors. If you cannot pick it up off the ground or pick it
from a bush or dig it from inside the ground, you don't consume it.
Apparently, this allows us to have more harmony with our body, thus making
the hunter gatherer diet appealing on an entirely different level.
What if you are not up to the strict hunter gatherer diet? Have no fear.
Try just committing yourself to a single diet meal a day. Then, as you get
more in tune with it, do two meals, and finally do all meals using this
special diet. If you ease into it, it won't be as difficult as doing it
cold turkey. If you're going to do a single diet meal every day, try
making it dinner and have meat or fish plus a couple of vegetables.
Remember that potatoes don't count as a vegetable, so having carrots or
broccoli would be more in tune with the diet. Because this diet
automatically limits your intake of refined carbs, you're going to be
feeling fuller and the fullness is going to last longer. The hunter
gatherer diet is also going to keep your insulin levels at a good place.
A simple hunter gatherer diet can really get you
losing fat quickly, and after only a few weeks, you should start
experiencing some serious weight reduction. Plus, you're going to have
increased energy and you won't get hungry as often as on a regular diet.
The hunter gatherer diet is really that great.
